I graduated from Whitecliffe College of Art and Design in 2007 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and have since been expanding my art practice. In the years i have been creating my work has spread across various media from drawing, film, sculpture and installation.

I am constantly drawn to natural phenomena both in a literal and symbolic sense. In Ann Gallagher's essay Landscape it is discussed that the title word contains two meanings, both a location point that is being addressed and the perception of that place. I am interested how images from the natural world are abstracted on a daily basis, where nature becomes a conquest to be tamed or alternatively becomes a landscape for vicarious projections. This exoticism of the natural leads to a desire to escape within it but in turn descries the atmosphere that caused such longing. In my work I seek to engender such thoughts in a non-direct process where the viewer is encouraged to foster their own interpretations.
